Connected Cash Flow
RunwayCal's architecture where financial events flow through automatically. Recording a receipt increases bank balance, runway, and Mission Control — all from one action.

Connected Cash Flow updates Treasury, Runway, and Mission Control from one action.
What is Connected Cash Flow?
Connected Cash Flow is RunwayCal's architectural principle: every financial event flows through the system automatically. Record a receipt once, and your bank balance, runway, collection rate, and Mission Control all update instantly.
The flow is deterministic: Receipt recorded → Treasury increases → Runway recalculates → Mission Control updates. Tax payment → Treasury decreases → Runway adjusts. Funding received → Treasury increases → Runway extends. Every movement has an audit trail in the Treasury Activity Log.
This eliminates the double-entry problem where founders record a payment in one tool, manually update a bank balance spreadsheet, then adjust a runway model — three places, same number, three chances to get it wrong.
Why it matters
Disconnected financial tools create stale data. Founders forget to update one of three places, and their cash position is wrong for days. Hiring decisions, fundraising timing, and board reporting all suffer from numbers that don't agree.
Connected Cash Flow means one source of truth that updates everywhere from a single action.
Example
Record a $14,000 receipt from TechNova. Treasury balance increases by $14,000. Runway recalculates from new balance. Mission Control KPIs update. Collection speed for TechNova recalculates. Cash position forecast shifts expected inflows. All from one action.
How RunwayCal helps
RunwayCal connects every financial event across Treasury, Runway, and Mission Control. Record a receipt, mark a tax payment, or upload a bank statement — everything recomputes instantly and consistently. The Treasury Activity Log provides a full audit trail.
Common mistakes
- 1Recording payments in a CRM without updating bank balance and runway separately
- 2Maintaining parallel spreadsheets that drift out of sync with actual data
- 3Treating bank balance updates and revenue recording as separate workflows
